Physical Development: Perceptual Motor Skills & Movement Concepts
Discuss how perceptual-motor coordination is the process of receiving, interpreting, and using information from all the body’s senses (visual, auditory touch, smell, taste and kinesthetic) to carry out the physical output (a coordinated movement).

Explain how movement concepts provide cognitive awareness of movement.

Abriendo Puertas / Opening Doors
10 session evidence-based parenting, leadership, and advocacy program for parents with children 0-5. The mission is to support parents as leaders of their families and as their child's first and most influential teacher in a home that is their child's first school. Abriendo Puertas / Opening Doors provides a welcoming space for families to build social capital with information, resources, and activities they can use on a daily basis.

Triple-P Positive Parenting Program
Evidence-based parenting program that takes the "guess work" out of parenting and is backed up by more than 35 years of ongoing research. Triple P gives parents simple and practicle strategies to help them build strong, healthy relationships, confidently manage their children's behavior and prevent problems from developing. Triple P is used in more than 30 countries and has been shown to work across cultures, socio-economic groups, and in many different kinds of family structures.

Infant Massage
First 5 Humboldt staff are being certified as Infant Massage Educators and are able to coordinate with families to provide 5-session courses on the benefits of loving touch for caregivers and babies up to 12 months old. Infant massage classes can be offered to groups of 5-6 families or on an individual basis.

Positive Indian Parenting
Positive Indian Parenting was designed to help parents and families connect with traditional Indigeneous teachings. Each of the eigh sessions discuss examples of traditional practices and teachings from several different tribes. Instructors also share teachings from our local area and communities.
